Get a key and pick the provider

Buy a key on ClaudeAPIKey.dev (register, add credit, generate). In Kilo's settings, choose OpenAI Compatible, set the Base URL with /v1, paste the key, and type the model id. For native Anthropic, choose Anthropic with Use custom base URL and the host root.

Anthropic, Claude Code, and OpenAI-Compatible are separate provider flows — pick the one matching the gateway.

Model id and context

The Model ID in OpenAI Compatible mode is free-text and unvalidated — a typo 404s as 'model not found', so enter exactly the gateway id. Set Context Window and Max Output Tokens under Model Configuration or Kilo may truncate.

Enable Computer Use / function-calling if the gateway forwards tool calls.
